Оr select "Do not automaticaly display" in the field settings and display the field only in the full article via adding field's shortcode by editor means to the article body, after "Read more" button.
Also hide intro text in global config--
You can hide it via CSS in the blog view only.I don't want to display that field in category blog...

Not sure that I understood correctly. Perhaps you should use the media field instead of URL field if you want to display the image....but use this url as link on the full image on the article display.
